The Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Advisor of the Year Award holds special significance as it honors the outstanding contributions and unwavering commitment of a chapter advisor or a group of advisors to the core mission of PTK. This prestigious award serves as a testament to their exceptional leadership, mentorship, and dedication to fostering academic excellence, leadership development, and community engagement among PTK members.
The mission of PTK is to “Recognize and encourage the academic achievement of two-year college students and; Provide opportunities for individual growth and development through participation in honors, leadership, service and fellowship programming.”
Nominees will be scored in five categories – 1) Student growth and development, 2) Chapter growth and development, 3) Local impact, 4) Student support, and 5) Quality of nomination. Nominations will be reviewed using a blind scoring process.
Each college may submit one nomination and the winner will be announced at the Phi Theta Kappa recognition ceremony on April 10, 2025. All nominees will be acknowledged at the ceremony and the website.
